Painting was one of my favorite interests, seeing works of great masters fascinated me. However, I did not consider it a viable path in my youth. I studied Architecture and worked in architectural design, until I no longer saw my personal fulfillment in that profession.
That was how I entered a master's degree in visual arts at UNAM, and gradually I was introduced to drawing workshops at the Academia de San Carlos. As time went by, I studied at the Saul Serrano Contemporary Art Center, different media, such as oil, tempera, and photo painting.
I paint because it is the form of communication that best allows me to connect with both my inner self and others. It is a passive, non-intrusive encounter that at any moment can escalate into a close dialogue.
This website is an open door to my inner self, my interests, my thoughts, and a sample of my journey in learning the craft of painting.
